How It Works

Step 1: Probe Placement

A thin, flexible probe microphone is placed in your ear canal alongside your hearing aid. This microphone measures the actual sound levels your eardrum receives.

Step 2: Speech Signals

Calibrated speech signals are played through a speaker while you wear your hearing aids. The probe microphone captures exactly what your ear is hearing at each frequency.

Step 3: Real-Time Comparison

The measurement is displayed on screen in real-time, compared against your prescriptive target — the ideal amplification levels based on your audiogram. Andres adjusts your hearing aids until the measured output matches the target at every frequency.

Step 4: Verification

Soft, moderate, and loud speech signals are all tested to ensure your hearing aids respond appropriately across all volume levels. The result is a precisely calibrated device that delivers the right amount of amplification for your specific hearing loss and ear anatomy.
