Hearing Aid Evaluation

Find the perfect hearing aid match through a personalized evaluation of your hearing profile, lifestyle, and preferences.

Choosing the right hearing aid is one of the most important decisions you'll make for your hearing health. At Kentucky Hearing Aids, our hearing aid evaluation process is designed to match you with the technology that fits your specific hearing loss, daily activities, and budget.

The Evaluation Process

Review of Your Audiogram

If you've already had a hearing evaluation, Andres will review your audiogram in detail, explaining the type and degree of your hearing loss and what it means for daily communication. If you haven't been tested recently, we'll conduct a comprehensive evaluation first.

Lifestyle Assessment

Understanding your daily life is essential to recommending the right hearing aid. We'll discuss your work environment, social activities, hobbies, and communication challenges. Do you attend meetings? Enjoy restaurants? Want to hear better on the phone? These details help us recommend the ideal technology level.

Technology Demonstration

You'll have the opportunity to see and try different hearing aid styles and technology levels. We work with leading manufacturers including Phonak, Oticon, Starkey, Widex, and Signia, so we can recommend the best option — not just one brand.

Insurance & Financing Review

We'll check your insurance benefits for hearing aid coverage and explain any out-of-pocket costs. We also offer flexible financing options so cost never prevents you from hearing better.

Hearing Aid Styles We Offer

  • Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) — The most popular style; discreet design with excellent sound quality
  • Behind-the-Ear (BTE) — Powerful and reliable; suitable for all degrees of hearing loss
  • In-the-Ear (ITE) — Custom-molded to fit your ear; easy to handle
  • Completely-in-Canal (CIC) — Nearly invisible; fits deep in the ear canal
  • Invisible-in-Canal (IIC) — The smallest custom option; virtually undetectable

What Comes After the Evaluation

Once you've selected your hearing aids, we'll order them (custom options) or fit them from our in-office stock. Every fitting includes Live Speech Mapping — our gold-standard Real Ear Measurement process — to ensure your devices are precisely calibrated for your ears.
